I am a tenured Professor of Art and Graphic Design at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. A published author, artist, photographer, sculptor, graphic designer, graphic artist, and web designer. I received my MFA in Sculpture at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MS in Adult and Continuing Education at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to college, I served in the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power Program aboard the USS Enterprise CVAN 65 during two tours in Viet Nam. Upon being honorably discharged was accepted to college under the G.I. Bill.
I use pencil to intuitively express my visions and observations of the world. This medium and intuitive technique have earned numerous awards including an international judge’s choice award and a prestigious juried nomination. Layered pencil drawings depict wise dragons, fairie folk, enchanted trees, delicate nudes, portraits and pure intuitive "energy" drawings. In sculpture, I explore the many facets of form in the reality of space, the mergence of organic and architectural forms, the sensual beauty of the human form, and sometimes whimsical fantasy in the form of dragons. Explorations of digital art have produced a portfolio of intriguing imagery. Exhibition history include the United Nations, NY., Art Expos in Chicago, Ill., Los Vegas, NV., juried shows in Philadelphia, PA., Cairo, Egypt, and numerous private collections. In 2006 along with other American and Egyptian artists exhibited art in an International Juried Exhibition for peace at the Cairo Opera house in Cairo, Egypt.
